Settings with two asterisks (**) are mandatory. The other settings are optional, but should be completed to use APM in the most efficient manner. Typically, you will base your implementation on the APM Install database. This database comes with default settings, value lists, and basic data that you can use to get started quickly. Creating Site Status Codes 5. If you are using a site hierarchy, set up your top site. APM comes pre-configured with one Install Site. For APM to work correctly, the Install Site needs to be the top site in your site hierarchy.
