What’s New in APM
Welcome to APM Help, EAM edition. This Help system includes four guides: APM User’s Guide, Implementation Guide, Administration Guide, and Customization Guide. Together, these guides provide all of the information necessary to efficiently use, implement, and manage APM software when your EAM module is active.
Note: Help topics are included for all of the APM application modules. If a module is not licensed or active on the site you are using, you might come across information about functionality that is not available to you.

Finding Information

The Help system provides many ways to find information, including a table of contents, index, and links to related topics and guides.
In addition to this Help system, APM comes with a library of documents that either specialize in particular tasks (for example, installing the software and setting up online data collection) or that provide stand-alone versions of information you will find in Help. For example, information about strategy development analysis is available in the Help and in PDF guides. For descriptions of these documents, see Using the APM Library.
Tip: The Glossary provides definitions of APM terminology.

APM User’s Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for completing day-to-day tasks in APM, such as using work orders and entering inventory transactions. Also included are step-by-step instructions on completing maintenance tasks in APM, such as entering and maintaining assets, performing strategy development analyses, creating asset reliability programs, and using standard tasks and standard jobs.

Implementation Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for entering the settings required when you first implement APM.

Administration Guide

This guide includes instructions on administrative tasks such as setting up and running scheduled actions, data purging, and managing application modules.

Customization Guide

This guide documents the tasks required for customizing the APM system. It explains the APM object model and how to plan, perform, and deploy customizations to the object model and user interface.
