Editing a Schedule Entry

This topic explains how to edit an existing schedule entry. For example, you might need to change the duration or start time for the entry.
If the changes to the entry will affect the duration, start or end time, or shift, and the option Entries respect shift and date boundaries is enabled for the schedule, the system automatically creates split entries. If you reduce the duration so that splits are no longer needed, the system deletes the splits.
Note: Schedule entries that are split can only be edited from the original entry; the split entry cannot be edited directly. Changes made on the entry apply to the entire task.
