Checking Open Work and Warranties

You can review the open work requests, open work order tasks, warranties, and pending standard jobs and PM routes for an asset and its descendants. You can do this when you are entering, creating, planning, or approving a work request or work order task. For example, you can review the list of open requests for an asset to see if there is an existing request for the problem you are reporting. Or, you can check the warranties to determine if the problem is covered under warranty.

To Check Open Work and Warranties

From the Site window, select the Assets view, right-click the asset, select View, and then Work and Warranties. The Open Work and Warranties dialog appears.

Work Requests: shows open work requests for the asset. To create a new work request, click New.
Work Order Tasks: shows open work order tasks for the asset. To create a new work order, click New.
PM Preview - Jobs: shows a preview of the asset’s upcoming standard jobs and PM routes. To create a work order, right-click on a standard job and click Create Work Order.
Warranties: shows warranties for the asset. To create a new warranty, click New.
Standard Tasks: The top list shows standard tasks for the asset. The bottom list shows the standard jobs for the selected task. To create a work order, right-click a standard task and click Create Work Order.
PM Preview - Tasks: The list shows a preview of the asset’s upcoming standard tasks. To create a work order, right-click on a standard task and click Create Work Order.
Standard Jobs: The top list shows jobs for the asset. The bottom list shows standard tasks for the selected job. To create a work order, right-click a standard task and click Create Work Order.
