Concepts Tasks User Interface Navigation Contents Navigating in APM Working with Attachments Personalizing the User Interface Table Configurations Favorites The APM user interface (UI) displays windows, views, and dialogs to present objects such as assets and work orders. The UI provides several features that you will find useful as you interact with the software. The APM UI makes it easy for you to access and share the information you need. For example: • Use the find bar to open objects when you know the number of the object you want. • Once you have opened the object, enable editing before making changes, saving, and closing it. • You can add file attachments to objects to provide more information. • To make it easier to open the object in the future, you can place a shortcut on your desktop. • You can also create a favorite for the object so that you can monitor it and other objects from one location. • You can email a shortcut to another APM user. You can also personalize the APM UI to make it more efficient for your daily tasks: • Use preferences to provide contact information for other APM users, set email options, and more. • Tailor windows by hiding or showing the tool bar, find bar, or banner. You can also move the tool and find bars and select views for the view bar.
