Concepts Tasks Settings Defining a Usage Rate for a Tool You can define or edit the hourly usage rate for each tool resource. The usage rate is usually the cost of using the tool (per hour). This usage rate is used to calculate the total cost that will be charged to the asset or work order where the tool was used. To Define a Usage Rate for a Tool 1. Open an existing tool resource. 2. On the General tab, select the Details tab and enter the following: Setting Name Description Standard hourly rate This is the rate that is charged when the tool is used. If you do not charge for the use of the tool, enter a rate of $0.00. If you enter $0.00, work orders will not be charged when the tool is used, but you can still track the usage of the tool. 3. Save and close the resource.
