Splitting an RFQ Resource

You can split a resource line on “for demand” request for quotation (RFQ) documents that have either the “in planning” or “waiting for bids” status. You might want to split a line if the requestor of the purchase demand has included multiple items in one demand line.
When you split a resource line on an RFQ, the system adds the new line to the originating work order task or requisition. If the two-step approval process is being used for the originating work order or requisition, the new purchase demand will receive the same approval status as the originating purchase demand. For example, if the original purchase demand was “waiting for approval”, the new line will also be set to “waiting for approval”, and the system will send an approval request for the new demand (to the same approval route).

To Split an RFQ Resource Line

1.
2.
On the Properties view, select the Resources tab.
3.
Right-click on the resource line that you want to split, and select Split Line. The Split RFQ Resource dialog appears.
4.
In the Existing RFQ Resource Information section, edit any of the information on the originating resource line (for example, Description or Requirement).
5.
In the New RFQ Resource Information section, enter the information for the new resource line. For example, you can change the Resource, Description, Purchase type, or Requirement (quantity).
