Creating an SDA Study

Strategy development analysis (SDA) studies are simple values used to group and filter analyses. The study can be referenced in MTA2, RCM2, RBI, SIF, and HAZOP analyses that share the same analysis type, as well as in asset prioritization, reliability strategy selection (RSS), and root cause (RCA) analyses. As the analyses and failure modes are developed, you can open the study to review them.
In the SDA Study window, the Usage view shows the analyses and failure modes that refer to the study. For example, the Strategy Development tab lists analyses, their types, statuses, and assets:

To Create an SDA Study

On the Site window, select the Strategy Development view and tab and then the Studies tab. Click New. The SDA Study window appears.
Tip: You can also create a study by opening an asset and selecting the Strategy Development view and tab. Select the Studies tab and click New. The SDA Study window appears with the asset information filled in.

Select the Project tab to assign the study to a reliability project and associate the study with a project task. Reliability projects are typically used to organize and track analyses and objects. They usually use project tasks rather than work orders.
