Reviewing an Asset’s Upcoming Work

In your asset reliability programs, you can have standard jobs that are set to trigger work orders at certain times or when the system receives certain indicator readings. Most of these jobs contain preventive maintenance (PM) tasks for your assets. Using APM, you can create PM work orders from these jobs before they are actually triggered. This gives you time to plan and schedule them.
You can generate future-dated work orders from time-based standard jobs. If you use different PM generation criteria regularly, you can create PM generation profiles that define the rules and filtering criteria. You can then select the appropriate profile to generate the work orders you need.
You can also view standard jobs that will be triggered soon based on indicator readings and generate work orders from them. Using these features, you can create, manage, and schedule a backlog of work orders.
You can check the current triggering status of any standard job or PM route. If the job is coming due soon, you might want to create a work order from the job.
Tip: You can review upcoming work for the site by selecting the Work Management view on the site window. Select the PM Preview tab and the Standard Jobs tab to view jobs arranged by days until due, by early warning date, or by asset. You can select one or more jobs, click the Selected list, and then Create Work Order. Select the Standard Tasks tab to view tasks by asset or by days until due.

To Review the Upcoming Work for an Asset

1.
2.
Select the Work Management view. The PM Preview tab, Standard Jobs tab shows the standard jobs to be triggered for the asset according to the number of days until they are due. Select the By early warning date configuration to view standard jobs that have early warning triggers. Standard jobs that have a flashing icon beside them are in an early warning condition. This means that the trigger counters for these jobs have passed the early warning threshold set up in the triggering rule.
3.
4.
The Triggering Status and Triggering Clauses tabs show the triggering rule clauses for the job and a summary of the job’s triggering status.
5.
Select the Asset tab. This tab shows the life-to-date information for the primary cumulative indicator for this asset and, if relevant, for the current asset life.
6.
Select the Current Work Order tab. This tab shows the triggering information for the last work order that was triggered from this standard job.
7.
To create a work order from this standard job, select the Work Management view and the Work Orders tab, and then click New. APM creates and opens a new work order based on the standard job. However, if the job already has an open work order, APM warns you that you cannot manually trigger the job.

You can also review triggering by standard tasks. On the asset’s Reliability Program view, select the Tasks tab. In the bottom table, select the PM Preview configuration. The table shows the standard tasks to be triggered for the asset. You can open and review each task as necessary.
