Creating Manual Requisitions

You can create requisitions manually or generate them from work orders. If you create a manual requisition that is not for replenishment, the materials will not be added into inventory when they are received from the supplier.
This topic explains how to create a manual requisition. To replenish inventory for one or more resources, please see Replenishing a Warehouse.

Overriding GL Accounts

APM automatically derives a GL account for charges to an asset or work order task based on the site’s accounting settings. You can override the derived maintenance GL account for labor, direct purchases, and inventory usage charged to an asset or work order. When the account number is overridden, the replacement account number is used on subsequent documents and transactions (work order requirements, timecards, issue transactions, purchase order lines, and receipts). The option to override a GL account is available only if the work type has been set up to allow the override.

To Create a Manual Requisition

1.
From the site window, select the Requisitions view, then the Requisitions tab, and then the Requisitions tab. By default, this tab displays all open requisitions for the site.
2.
Click New. The Requisition window appears, open to the Properties view.
3.
4.
Enter a title for the requisition in the Title box. You must enter a title to save the requisition.
5.
Enter the Date required.
6.
On the Charging tab, enter the charging information by selecting a work order, asset, or account to charge, and then browse to select the item and then click OK.
7.
Select the Lines tab and click New or Browse to add lines to the requisition. For detailed instructions, please see Adding Lines to a Requisition.
8.
When you are finished, Save the requisition.
9.
If you are not using requisition approvals, you can mark the requisition as being planned. From the Requisition menu select Mark as Planned.
Once the requisition is sent for approval (if necessary) or marked as planned, it can be processed through either the Requisitions or My Desk view. You cannot add or change items once the requisition is approved or planned, unless you redraft it.
