Adding Lines to a Requisition
You can add requests for resources (requisition lines) to an existing requisition that has the “In planning” status. If a requisition is already approved or planned, you must redraft it in order to add requisition lines. 2. On the Lines tab, click the New list and select the appropriate type of requirement: Material, Service, Tool, or On-site Contractor. The requirement’s New Requirement dialog appears. The dialog will have different settings, depending on which type of resource you are adding.Tip: To add several different requirements at once, click Browse. The Browse Catalog dialog appears. Each tab on this dialog lists different types of resources that you can choose. On the Resources tab, select the Resource type to switch between materials, tools, trades, and services. Select the check boxes for each resource that you want to add. You can select resources on more than one tab. When you are finished, click OK. You will need to open each line to review and edit the requirement.
3. If you selected to add a new Material Requirement - Purchase item, on the General tab, enter the following settings:
• Purchase: Use for trades, materials, tools, or services that need to be purchased.
• Equipment Rental: Use for tools and equipment to be rented from an outside supplier.
• Regular purchase: used for most purchases
• Equipment rental: used for tool resources only

By default, the system enters the default supplier of the resource. If necessary, you can change the supplier by clicking either All Suppliers or Valid Suppliers and selecting a new supplier from the selection dialog.
4. If you selected to add a New Material - Warehouse Item, on the General tab, enter the following settings:
Warehouse Issue: Use for material that will be issued from a warehouse.Warehouse Transfer: Use for materials that will be transferred from one warehouse to another.

• Purchase: Use for trades, materials, tools, or services that need to be purchased.
• Equipment Rental: Use for tools and equipment to be rented from an outside supplier.
• Tool Issue: Use for tools that are issued from a warehouse.

The amount of time that each employee, contractor, tool, or service person is required. For example if you are entering a trade requirement, enter how long each employee will need to work on this task. The total time entered for the requirement will be calculated as:Number Of x Required For

6. If you are entering a purchase or equipment rental, select the Details tab. Enter the following settings:

For service resources, this box is automatically set to Service order.

Select the appropriate trade from the list. On-site contractor trades must have Maintenance or Purchasing and maintenance set as the Available source.

10. Select the Purchasing tab. Enter the following settings:
By default, the system enters the default supplier of the resource. If necessary, you can change the supplier by clicking either All Suppliers or Valid Suppliers and selecting a new supplier from the selection dialog.
11. If necessary, you can change the cost type or GL account being charged for this resource. Select the Charging Info tab, and then select Override the cost type or the Override the account option, and then click Browse. Make your selection, and then click OK.
12. Select the Attachments tab, and click New to add an attachment to the requisition line. The Attachment dialog appears. For more information about adding attachments, see Adding Attachments to Objects.
