Report Accessories

APM Forms Editor includes Accessories to use in formatting reports. The accessories are controls that are found in the Forms Editor Toolbox. Available accessories include the following.

Bar Code

You can add a bar code to a report and specify the symbology to use. Twenty-one formats are available, including Code 128, UPCA or interleaved 2 of 5.
Select the bar code format to use and select the APM object to which the code will be bound. For example, you may select UPCA as the barcode format, and bind the code to the Asset Number.

Checkbox

The checkbox accessory represents Boolean data types in a report. The checked state represents True, while an unchecked state represents False. When using this accessory, you define the default state and also the object to which it is bound. You can also add the checkbox to a report run-time configuration.

CrossBandBox

A cross band box allows you to draw a rectangle through several bands. It is useful when you want to visually encompass a section consisting of multiple band areas. You can specify the properties such as layout, size and position.

CrossBandLine

The cross band line allows you to draw a line through several bands, and is used to visually emphasize a report section consisting of multiple band areas.

Enterprise Logo

The Enterprise logo is, by default, the image that is used for the Enterprise. Usually it is the organization’s logo. There can only be one Enterprise logo. When the Enterprise logo is first added to the report layout panel, the image is not displayed.

Label

A label accessory displays text on the report. It can also be used to represent summary functions for a data field. For example, you could add a label to a report and set it to display the number of indicators for a particular asset, or the total number of labor hours planned for a work order task.

Line

The line accessory is used to visually separate sections of a report. You can set the line properties such as color, style and direction; however a line cannot cross report bands.

PageBreak

The purpose of the page break accessory is to insert a page delimiter at any point in a report. It can be used to divide subreports so that each subreport begins on a new page.

PageInfo

Use the page info control to add page numbers, date and time, current user name, and employee name to a report.

Panel

A panel accessory is a container which frames separate report controls, allowing them to be moved, copied and pasted. The panel visually unites controls.

PictureBox

Use the picture box accessory to display images in a report. The image can be from an external file, or from a linked web location. If using the picute box accessory, be sure that the file is accessible to the report users (for example, in a shared network location).
Multiple image file formats are supported, including: BMP, JPG, JPEG, EMF, GIF, TIFF and PNG.

RichText

The rich text accessory allows you to display formatted text in a report.

Shape

With the shape accessory, you can embed basic graphic objects such as arrows, ellipses, rectangles or triangles into a report. You can set the shape properties including fill color, angle, or behavior.

Table

The table accessory allows you to arrange information in a tabular format. The table’s rows and cells can each be selected and customized. You can set the table properties such that it cannot be split across pages.
