Changing Serialized Unit Condition Statuses

The unit condition status identifies the relative age and condition of a serialized resource unit. APM provides the following three conditions:

New	The unit is newly purchased and has never been used.
Rebuilt	The unit has been rebuilt as indicated by the creation of a new asset life. The unit has not been used since it was rebuilt.
Used	The unit has been issued and installed at a location.

To Change a Serialized Resource Unit's Condition Status

1.	In the Site window, select the Resource Management view and then the Inventory tab.

2.	Select the Warehouses tab, and then select the warehouse in which the resource is stocked, from the table on the left side. The list of stocked resources is shown in the table on the right.

3.	Right-click the resource that you want to change and select Adjust Item. The Inventory Adjustment dialog appears.

4.	Identify the resource and warehouse. When you enter the part number for a serialized resource, the Change a Unit condition option is displayed. For example:

5.	In the Adjustment type section, select Change a unit condition.

6.	Complete the adjustment by entering the following:

Setting Name

Description

Unit	Select the unit for which you want to change the status from the list of units.

Condition to:

Select the new unit condition from the list.

Adjusted by

The name of the employee who created the adjustment

Adjusted on

The date of the adjustment

Reason for the adjustment

The reason for the adjustment.

7.	Click OK to save your changes.
