Adjusting Unit Costs for Serialized Resources

You can adjust the unit cost of a serialized resource. When you make a unit cost adjustment, you are changing the average value of each unit currently in inventory.

To Adjust the Unit Cost for a Serialized Resource

1.	In the Site window, select the Resource Management view and then the Inventory tab.

2.	Select the Warehouses tab and then select the warehouse in which the resource is stocked, in the table on the left side. The list of stocked resources is shown in the table on the right.

3.	Right-click the serialized resource and select Adjust Item. The Inventory Adjustment dialog appears.

4.	Identify the resource and warehouse. When you enter the part number for a serialized resource, the Unit cost adjustment option is available. For example:

5.	In the Adjustment type section, select Unit cost adjustment.

6.	Complete the adjustment by entering the following:

The new cost per unit. The inventory value is also adjusted when the unit cost is adjusted.

Adjusted by

The name of the employee who created the adjustment

Adjusted on

The date of the adjustment

Reason

The reason for the adjustment.

7.	Click OK to post the adjustment.
