Grouping Work Orders

You might want to group work orders for any number of reasons. Some examples are:
In APM, you can group work orders in two ways:
You can use either or both methods to group work orders. Both approaches allow you to view the grouped work orders and to filter lists of work orders and tasks.

To Group Work Orders By Category

1.
From the Site window, select the Work Management view and then the Work Orders tab.

Select the Work Order Groups tab. By default, this tab lists all open work order groups.

To add a work order group, click New. On the Work Order Group dialog, enter the group name and a description, and then click OK.

The Work Order Task window appears. Plan and save the new work order. It is added to the work order group.

Select the work orders that you want to add to the group. You can add any open work order from the site that owns the group, or from any of its child sites.
Click OK. The work orders are now linked to that group.

In the Grouping information area, select the work order group from the Group list.
Save the work order.

To Group Work Orders by Master Work Order

From the site’s Work Management view, select the Work Orders tab.

Select the Work Orders tab. A list of all open work orders for the site appears.
