Setting up Extension Reasons for Override Incidents

If an override incident requires more time than the override definition allows, the user can request an extension. Part of that process is selecting the appropriate reason for the extension.
This topic explains how to set up extension reasons.

To Set up an Extension Reason

On the site’s Safety Management view, select the Settings tab, and the Safety Management Settings node in the tree.
Tip: You can also select the site’s Administration menu and then Safety Management. The Safety Management Settings dialog appears.

Select the Extension Reasons tab. This tab shows the reasons defined for the site.

Click New. The extension reason Properties window appears.

To represent the reason with a different icon in tables, click Change Icon, select another image, and click OK.

Click OK. The reason is added to the Extension Reasons tab.
