Changing Serialized Inventory Status Definitions for Repairable Spares

You can rename any serialized inventory unit or tool statuses, or change their matched asset status. You cannot add or delete statuses.

To Change Serialized Inventory Unit Status Definitions

1.	On the site’s Resource Management view, select the Settings tab. Select the Inventory Settings node in the tree.

Tip: You can also select the site’s Administration menu, Resource Management Settings, and then Resources. The Resource Management Settings dialog appears.

Tip: You can also access resource management settings from the Site window by clicking the Administration menu, Resource Management Settings, and then Resources. The Resource Management Settings dialog appears.

2.	Select the Serialized Inventory tab. This tab displays the required 10 statuses.

3.	Double click the status you want to change. The Serialized Inventory Status dialog appears. Complete the following:

Setting Name

Description

Serialized inventory status

A default name is provided for each of the ten inventory statuses. You can change the name APM provides.

Asset status for material resources

The component asset status that logically corresponds to this inventory unit status. Assets with this status may only be linked to serialized resource units with the matching inventory unit status.

Asset status for tools

The maintainable asset (tools) status that logically corresponds to this inventory unit status. Tools with this status may only be linked to serialized resource units with the matching inventory unit status.

4.	Click OK. Your inventory status is updated in the list.

5.	Click OK to close the Resource Management Settings dialog.
