Setting up Work Delay Reasons

You can define the common reasons that work is delayed on your site. Users will select these reasons when they are recording work delay time on timecards, equipment failures, or downtime incidents.
APM comes with some work delay reasons already defined. You can edit the existing work delay reasons, or add new ones that are relevant to your organization. This topic explains how to create new work delay reasons.

To Set up Work Delay Reasons

From the Site window, select the Administration menu and Personnel Management Settings. The Personnel Management Settings dialog appears.

Select the Delays tab. This tab shows a list of the current work delay reasons.

Click New. The Reason for Work and Downtime Delays dialog appears.

Work delays, failures and downtime: This reason will be available to users reporting work delays, equipment failures, or downtime incidents.
Work delays and failures only: This reason will only be available to users reporting work delays or equipment failures.
Downtime incidents only: This reason will only be available to users reporting downtime incidents.
