Setting Options for Incorrect Indicator Readings

You can specify that, when flagging an indicator reading as incorrect, the user can, or is required to, enter a reason, comment, or both. For example, if a reason is mandatory, an error prevents you from closing the Mark Reading as Incorrect dialog:

To Set Options for Incorrect Indicator Readings

From the Site window, select the Inspection Management view, the Settings tab, and then the Indicators tab. Select the Indicator Settings node in the tree.
Tip: You can also click the Administration menu, Inspection Management Settings, and then Indicator Management. The Indicator Settings window appears.

Select the Data Collection tab and the Incorrect Readings tab. This tab displays options and any existing reasons for incorrect readings.

Click Edit at the bottom of the window to open the site settings to editing. The Edit button is replaced by Save.

Set the options as required:

Include reason incorrect when marking a reading as incorrect
When this option is selected, users have the option of selecting a reason when flagging an indicator reading as incorrect.
When this option is selected, the table of reasons appears in the window.
Reason is mandatory when marking a reading as incorrect
When this option is selected, users are required to select a reason when flagging an indicator reading as incorrect.
Comment is mandatory when marking a reading as incorrect
When this option is selected, users are required to enter a comment when flagging an indicator reading as incorrect.

Click Save to make the settings available on the site

For each reason you wish to add, click New at the bottom of the Reasons for incorrect reading table. The Reason for Incorrect Reading Properties dialog appears:

Enter the reason and click OK. The reason is added to the table. You can also mark a reason as inactive to remove it from selection lists.
