Setting up Operating Contexts

The operating context is the circumstances in which a physical asset or system is expected to operate.
Operating contexts are defined in APM so that they can be selected in strategy development analyses and templates.

To Set up an Operating Context

From the Site window, select the Strategy Development view, Settings tab and then the Strategy Development tab. Select the Strategy development settings node in the tree.
Tip: You can also select the Administration menu, Strategy Development Settings, and then Strategy Development. The Strategy Development Management Settings dialog appears.

Select the Operating Contexts tab. This tab lists all of the operating contexts that have been defined for the site.

Click New. The Operating Context Details dialog appears.

In the Description box, provide detailed information to identify the operating circumstances.
