Setting up RSS Events: Rules for Assigning Statuses

You can set up workflow controls that automatically change the status when a certain action occurs with an analysis. For example, when the analysis is created, the status could be set to “New analysis” automatically.

To Set up Rules for Assigning Statuses

1.
On the site’s Strategy Development view, Settings tab, select the Reliability Strategy tab.
Tip: You can also select the site’s Administration menu, Strategy Development Settings, and then Reliability Strategy. The RSS Settings dialog appears.

Select the Events tab.

Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.

For each event listed, select the appropriate analysis status:
Setting Name
Description
Creation
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when it is created.
Sent for approval
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when it is sent for approval.
Approved
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when it is approved.
Redraft
Status to be automatically applied when the approved analysis is redrafted.
Rejected
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis if it is rejected after being sent for approval.
RCM2 recommended
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when the recommended strategy is RCM2 analysis.
MTA2 recommended
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when the recommended strategy is maintenance task analysis.
Periodically review asset performance
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when periodic review is recommended.
Escalation process required
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when the risk needs to be communicated to asset stakeholders for consideration and action.
Implemented
Status to be automatically applied to the RSS analysis when it is implemented.
5.
When you have finished defining settings, click Save.
