Setting up RCA Events: Rules for Assigning Statuses

You can set up workflow controls that automatically change the status when a certain action occurs with an analysis. For example, when the analysis is created, the status could be set to “New analysis” automatically.

To Set up Rules for Assigning Statuses

1.	From the Site window, select the Performance Management view, Settings tab. Select the RCA tab and the RCA settings node in the tree.

Tip: You can also click the Administration menu, Performance Management Settings, and then RCA. The RCA Management Settings dialog appears.

2.	Select the Events tab.

3.	Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.

4.	For each event listed, select the appropriate analysis status:

Setting Name

Description

Creation

Status to be automatically applied to the root cause analysis when it is created.

Sent for approval

Status to be automatically applied to the root cause analysis when it is sent for approval.

Approved

Status to be automatically applied to the root cause analysis when it is approved.

Redraft

Status to be automatically applied when the approved analysis is redrafted.

Rejected

Status to be automatically applied to the root cause analysis if it is rejected after being sent for approval.

5.	When you have finished defining settings, click Save.
