Selecting the RCA Diagram Template

The RCA diagram is a horizontal tree structure that shows the relationships between the problem and its potential, contributing, eliminated, and root causes. Here is an example:

The style and colors used in the diagram are determined by the diagram template selected in RCA settings. You can choose from four templates provided by APM, each with a different color scheme.

An administrator can also copy one of the supplied templates and customize it for your needs. The diagrams are located in the Customization Center view, User Interface tab, Diagram Templates tab. For more information, see Customization Guide.

To Select an RCA Diagram Template

1.	From the Site window, select the Performance Management view, Settings tab. Select the RCA tab and the RCA settings node in the tree.

Tip: You can also click the Administration menu, Performance Management Settings, and then RCA. The RCA Management Settings dialog appears.

2.	Select the Policies tab.

3.	Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.

4.	Select the RCA diagram template from the list.

5.	Click Save.
