Setting up Gas Standards

Gas standards that are recorded in APM are referenced in specifications for assets and fluid samples. An example is the U.S. Geological Survey standards for natural gas.
This topic explains how to set up a gas standard.

To Set up a Gas Standard

From the Site window, select the Fluid Condition view, Settings tab. Select the Fluid Condition Settings node in the tree.
Tip: You can also click the Administration menu and Fluid Condition Settings. The Fluid Condition Settings dialog appears.

Select the Gas Standards tab. This tab lists the standards that have been created for the enterprise. For example:
You can mark a standard as inactive until it is ready to be used. Select the standard in the table and click Mark as Inactive. The Mark as Inactive/Active dialog appears, where you can enter a comment. When you click OK, a confirmation message appears. Click OK. When you are ready, click Mark as Active to make the standard available for use.

Click New. The Gas Standard Properties dialog appears:

Select the Description tab to provide more information.

Click OK. The dialog closes and the standard is added to the Gas standards table.
