Setting up Temperature Ranges

A temperature range is an aspect of the operating environment in which the damage mechanism is prone to occur.

To Set up Temperature Ranges

1.	On the site’s Strategy Development view, select the Settings tab. Select the Damage Mechanisms tab and the Damage mechanisms settings node in the tree.

Tip: You can also select the site’s Administration menu, Strategy Development Settings, and then Damage Mechanism Library. The Damage Mechanisms Management Settings dialog appears.

2.	Select the Temperature Ranges tab.

3.	For each of the temperature ranges required by your organization, click New. The Damage Mechanism Temperature Range dialog appears.

4.	Provide a descriptive name for the range, for example, “250<T<800 F”.

5.	In the Range starts box, enter the lowest temperature in the range and the unit of measure.

6.	In the Range ends box, enter the highest temperature in the range and the unit of measure.

7.	Enter a description of the temperature range.

8.	Click OK. The dialog closes and the range is added to the table.
