Setting up APM for Sites Created by AWEIS

APM 7.14 and AWEIS 1.2.15.0 introduced support for creating APM sites for assets connected to external systems. When a SyncSite message is processed in AWEIS and sent to APM, a site is created with the following properties:

•	Parent site as identified in the message. If a parent site is not included in the message, the new site is not parented in the site hierarchy. If a parent site with a matching GUID does not exist in APM, an error is returned to AWEIS and the site is not created

•	Site type as identified in the message. If the site type does not already exist, a new one is created

•	Site interoperability profile designated as the default for the enterprise. The site’s interoperability flag is set to active. However, if a default profile has not been set for the enterprise, the new site’s interoperability flag is not activated

•	All application modules are enabled except Work Management and Enterprise Asset Management

For this functionality to work, at least one AssetWise interoperability system must have been defined in APM. For more information, see Setting up AssetWise Interoperability Systems.

A site interoperability profile called “Default AssetWise settings profile” is provided in the APM database. You can set the default profile for the enterprise and modify the provided profile as needed.

To Select the Default Profile

1.	In the Enterprise window, select the Integrations view, AssetWise Interoperability tab, and the Interoperability Profiles tab.

2.	Ensure that editing is enabled.
