Setting up Approvals for Asset Management

To use the APM approval function with asset documents and reports, identify the types of documents that require approval at your site. This topic describes how to set up approvals for asset management.
After entering approval settings, you must set up authorized employees as approvers and create approval routes in order to use approvals with these documents.
When you are using AWEIS to exchange data with an external CMMS (such as SAP), you can set up asset properties change requests to use the approval process. Examples in this topic assume that AWEIS is active, so Asset change requests is available for selection.

To Set up Approvals for Asset Reports

Select the site’s Approvals view, Settings tab, and then select the Settings node in the tree.

Select the Asset Reporting tab.

Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.
