Adding Follow-up Work to Failure Records

In the Failure or Anomaly window’s Activities view, you can add the documents needed to complete corrective work that will resolve or prevent equipment failures.
If you are using AssetWise Enterprise Interoperability (AWEIS) to exchange data with a CMMS system (for example, SAP Plant Maintenance), the site’s interoperability profile determines whether APM work requests and work orders or requests for work are used.
If APM is configured to interact with a SAP Plant Maintenance system, the site’s interoperability profile determines whether APM work requests and work orders or SAP maintenance orders and notifications are used.
Create and manage corrective tasks using failure follow-up actions. Each action includes a sequence number, action type, description, due date, employee assignment, and action status. The document thus provides a record that can be tracked by due date, owner, and status.
Each failure follow-up action is categorized by type:
The documents reference the failure follow-up action. For example:
A work request’s Properties view, Source tab displays the source “Follow up to a failure action”
A work order task’s Planning view, Source tab displays “Follow up to a failure action”
A request for work’s Source tab displays the follow-up action
Tip: You can view a list of failure follow-up actions for the site. In the Performance Management view, select the Failures tab. Select “Failure actions by due date” in the configuration list.
