Linking a Work Order Task to a Failure Record

There are two ways to create a link between a work order task and a failure record:

•	From the work order task, you can link the work order task to an existing failure record.

•	From the failure record, you can create a work order or work request, add a new task to a work order, or link the failure to an existing work document.

To Link a Work Order Task to a Failure Record

1.	Open the work order task.

2.	Select the Planning view, Source tab, and Failures tab. For example:

3.	Click Browse. The Browse Failures dialog appears.

4.	Select one or more failures to link to the work order task and click OK. The failures are added to the Failures tab.

5.	The primary failure is automatically set to the partial failure with the shortest remaining PF interval. If a partial failure is not linked to the task, the first full failure is set as the primary failure.
