Moving Tasks Within a Schedule in Microsoft Project

To reschedule a work order task within a schedule, you can simply change the start date of the task. For example, you have two tasks on a 5-day schedule. To move Task A from Monday to Tuesday, open the task in MS Project and change the start date.
When the Project is imported into APM, the tasks start and end times will be updated to reflect the changes made in MS Project.
Note: If the task is either the first or last task in a schedule, then changing the start or end times of the task will also change the schedule’s start and end times. This might affect the order of schedules in APM’s schedule hierarchy, which is sorted by the end date of each schedule.
