Entering Manufacturer Information for a Price

You can link a manufacturer record to a supplier resource’s price. Each price for the supplier resource can be linked to a different manufacturer. For example, a supplier might provide the same item produced by manufacturers A and B. The price of the item when made by manufacturer A is $5, but from manufacturer B it is $6. You can record this information in the supplier resource.

This topic explains how to link a manufacturer to a price on a supplier resource. You will need to link the manufacturers from the Price Details dialog.

To Enter Manufacturer Information for a Price

1.	Open the supplier from which you will purchase the resource.

2.	Select the Resources view and then the Resources tab. By default, all of the resources currently supplied by this supplier are displayed.

3.	Double-click the resource that requires manufacturer information. The supplier resource opens to the General tab.

4.	Make sure that editing is enabled.

5.	Select the Prices tab. This tab displays the prices that have been entered for this supplier resource.

6.	Double-click the price to which you want to add a manufacturer. The Supplier Resource Price dialog appears.

7.	Select the Details tab.

8.	Select the Manufacturer from the list:

Manufacturer

The name of the manufacturer for this supplier resource and price. If the manufacturer’s record is already associated with this supplier and resource, select the name of the manufacturer from the list. If the manufacturer is not in the list, right-click the box and select New. Fill in the manufacturer information for this supplier resource price.

9.	To save and close the price click OK.

10.	When you are finished, save and close the Supplier Resource window.
