Adding Task and Job Templates to FMECA Action Plans

When an action plan’s recommended action is condition-based maintenance, failure-finding maintenance, scheduled restoration, or scheduled discard, you can create or browse for one or more APM standard task templates or job templates to correct problems.

To Add a Task or Job Template

1.	Open the Maintenance Action Plan window and select the Implementation view.

2.	Make sure that editing is enabled.

3.	On the Primary Action Plan tab, select the Tasks tab.

4.	To add an existing standard task, job task, or standard job:

•	Select an option from the Browse list:

•	A selector dialog appears.

•	Find and select the standard task template, job task on a job template, or job template.

•	Click OK. The item is added to the action plan.

5.	To add a new task template or job template:

•	Select an option from the New list:

•	The appropriate “Create” dialog appears. For example, the Create Task Template dialog. Select the options for the object and click OK.

•	The appropriate window appears, where you can define the template.

•	Save the template and close the window. The template is added to the action plan.
