To Create a Requisition for an On-site Contractor
1. From the site window, select the Requisitions view, then the Requisitions tab, and then the Requisitions tab. By default, this tab displays all open requisitions for the site.

4. Enter a title for the requisition in the Title box. You must enter a title to save the requisition.
5. Enter the Date required.
6. On the Charging tab, enter the charging information by selecting a work order, asset, or account to charge, and then browse to select the item and then click OK.
7. To add a requisition line, select the Lines tab, and then select On-site Contractor from the New list. The New Trade Requirement dialog appears.
8. On the General tab, enter the following settings:
Select the appropriate trade from the list. You can select any trade with an available source set to either Purchasing only or Both purchasing and maintenance.
The total number of items that are required. For example, the number of employees or contractors required for the trade or the number of tools.
The amount of time for which each contractor is required. For on-site contractors, enter the total amount of time that they will be working at your site.Number Of x Required For
• Start to start (SS): The requirement starts when the task is planned to start, offset by any entered lag time.
• Finish to finish (FF): The requirement ends when the task is planned to end. The system automatically calculates the required lag time.
This setting is used when calculating the estimated duration of the task, and when the task is scheduled.
Select Purchase.
Select On-site contractor.
9. On the Purchasing tab, enter the following settings as required:
By default, the system enters the default supplier of the resource. If necessary, you can change the supplier by clicking either All Suppliers or Valid Suppliers and selecting a new supplier from the selection dialog.
10. Enter any comments on the Comments tab.
11. To override the GL account or cost type, select the Charging Info tab and make the appropriate changes (only available if overrides are allowed).
12. Select the Attachments tab to add attachments to the requisition. For more information about adding attachments, see Adding Attachments to Objects.
13. Click OK.
16. If you are using RFQs, you can now request a quotation. Right-click the trade requirement and select Request a Quotation. The requirement is added to the list of RFQ requests.

18. If you are not using requisition approvals, you can mark the requisition as being planned. From the Requisition menu select Mark as Planned.
19. Once the requisition is sent for approval (if necessary) or marked as planned, it can be processed through either the Requisitions or My Desk view. You cannot add or change items once the requisition is approved or planned, unless you redraft it.
