Creating Performance Indicators From a Template

You can create performance indicator templates. On each template, you can define the calculation, calculation inputs, and the calculation frequency for the indicator. You can use these templates to create similar performance indicators for each site in your enterprise.
In addition, APM comes with several performance indicator templates on which you can base your own performance indicators. You can use these templates to create performance indicators for your site. Review the description of each template that you use to see what modifications you might need to make to indicators created from the template.
For some of the predefined templates, you must replace the filter values with values from your site. For example, in the template called “Downtime by reason:Incidents - Average Downtime Duration”, you must add your own downtime reason in the “Reason for delay or downtime” filters in each input. You should also update the title of the indicator so that it reflects the chosen downtime reason.
You might also want to make an indicator based on a template site-specific. You can do this by adding a site filter to each calculation input.
Note: The APM performance indicator templates cannot be changed or edited. However, you can create a copy of a template and then modify the copy.
If you wish to measure monetary values from sites that use different currencies, be sure to adjust your KPIs to perform the conversion to a base currency. For more information, see Introduction to Performance Indicators.
