Copying a Supplier Resource

If you are entering many supplier resources, it may be more efficient to copy an existing one rather than create new supplier resources from scratch. The system supports three types of supplier resource copies:
Create a new supplier resource for a different supplier: The resource, site, and purchase type from the current supplier resource are copied to the new supplier resource. You must select the new supplier on the copy dialog.
Create a new supplier resource for a different resource: The supplier, site, and purchase type from the current supplier resource are copied to the new supplier resource. You must select the new resource on the copy dialog.
Create a new supplier resource for a different site: The supplier, resource, and purchase type from the current supplier resource are copied to the new supplier resource. You may want to do this to create supplier resources with different pricing or ordering information for each site.
Note: You can copy a supplier resource to any site that is below the site that owns the supplier and resource. Ownership of suppliers and resources is determined in the site type settings.
For example, if suppliers and resources are owned at the top site, you can copy supplier resources to any site in the hierarchy. If the supplier and resource are owned at a site on the lowest level, you cannot copy the supplier resource to another site.
