Changing the Link Between a Task Template and a Standard Task

You can change the task template that an existing standard task is linked to. You might need to do this if the wrong task template was identified on the standard task or if a more applicable task template has been created. If a standard task is not linked to any task template, you can add a link. If necessary, you can also remove the link to a task template.
When you add or change a task template link on a standard task, the new task template’s information replaces the standard task’s existing information. This also cancels any overrides (changes from the template information) that had been entered on the standard task.
Note: Changing the task template link might result in some information being lost from the standard task.
