Changing the Planner for Standard Tasks

From time to time, it might be necessary to change the employee assigned as the planner on standard tasks. There are multiple scenarios when you would need to reassign a planner, for example, when an employee has left the company or when a planner is transferred to a different site.
If there are many standard tasks assigned to a planner, replacing the employee manually would be time-consuming and prone to errors; therefore, applying a mass update is a more efficient method. This topic explains how to replace a planner with a different employee using mass update.
Note: The employee must be assigned a Planner role in order to replace the current planner.

To Change the Planner for Standard Tasks

From the Site window, select the Reliability Program view, Program tab, and then the Tasks tab.

Right-click the Planner column heading and select Replace. The Replace Column Data dialog appears. For example:

Click Blank to erase all information in the column.
Note: The employee must be assigned a Planner role in order to replace the current planner.

Click Apply to perform the mass update. A dialog prompts you for confirmation. For example:

Click Yes to proceed.

If rows could not be updated during a mass update, they can be viewed by clicking View Log or by APM administrators in the Mass Update Requests log. For more information, see Viewing Mass Update Requests.

Remove the filter applied in step 3. The changes are now reflected in the table.
