Sending a Current Practice Review for Approval

This topic explains how to send a review to be approved.

If your organization uses the APM formal approval process, it is typically employed to vet the review when implementation has been completed for all action plans. A review can be sent for approval when:
Note: You cannot enable the approval process in the properties of individual reviews. An analysis type that requires the approval process must be assigned to the review.
Tip: To view information about the review’s approval requests, select the History view and the Approvals tab. Information about the current and historical requests is displayed.

To Send a Review for Approval

The Send for Approval dialog appears. For example:

Select the Approval Route from the list. Only approval routes that are valid for strategy development analyses and the analysis type are listed.

Enter a comment, if you wish. Requester comments are displayed in the site’s Approvers view, Requests tab, as well as in the Approval Request window in the Request Info tab.

To have APM automatically send an email to the originator when all approvers have reviewed the request, select Yes, send an email when the approval process is complete.

Click Send for Approval. The approval request is sent to the first approver on the approval route and the approval status is updated (shown in the window banner).
