Adding Holds to a Task Template

Task template holds are copied to standard tasks created from the template. When a work order task is created from the standard task, the hold is added automatically to the work order task.
You can apply any changes that you make to the task template to the standard tasks that are based on it. For example, if you add a new hold to the task template, you can add the hold to all of the standard tasks that are based on the task template. This section explains how to add holds to a task template.

To Add Holds to a Task Template

Open the task template. Select the Properties view, the Planning tab, and then the Holds tab.

Click New. The Details dialog appears.

For example, if you create a hold with a Report Activity setting of “allowed with warning”, the comment will be displayed on warning messages when users try to report activity for the task.
