Adding Manufacturer References to a Supplier

A manufacturer is an organization that produces the assets or materials you have purchased.

You can record and track manufacturers in APM using manufacturer records. The manufacturer record includes the name and contact information for the manufacturer. You can also record any warranties offered by the manufacturer. You can link a manufacturer record to assets, suppliers, or resources in the resource catalog.

You might want to link a manufacturer to a supplier record if the supplier provides goods from that manufacturer. This topic explains how to link an existing manufacturer record to a supplier.

To Link a Manufacturer to a Supplier

1.	Open the supplier record.

2.	Make sure that editing is enabled.

3.	On the Properties view, select the Manufacturers tab. This tab lists all of the manufacturers currently linked to this supplier.

4.	Click Browse. The Manufacturer Selector dialog appears.

5.	Select a manufacturer and click OK. The manufacturer is added to the list.

6.	When you are finished linking manufacturers, close the Supplier window.
