Adding Map Layers to a Configuration

Objects in APMconfigurations can be displayed in a geographical map format.

Each configuration that is displayed as a map must have at least one base map layer. The base map is the basis for the configuration. Additional map layers may also be included and applied as overlays to the base map. Using overlays is optional.

This topic describes how to include additional map layers to a configuration.

To Add a Map Layer to a Configuration

1.	Open the table configuration that includes the map for which you want to define map layers.

2.	On the Appearance tab, select the Map tab, and then the Map Layers tab. For example,

3.	Click Browse. The Browse Web Feature Services dialog appears.

4.	Select each web feature service that you want to include as a layer on the map, and click OK. The web feature services are added to the list.

Note: Only web services that are not indicated as a base map layer are available.

Tip: APM Administrators must define map layers via the Customization Center view, Map Layers tab. For more information, see Defining Map Layers.

5.	When you are finished, click OK.
