Authentication

The external data provider can use shared or per user authentication: • Shared – Basic shared authentication to access the SAP system. The values that you provide for the User name and Password parameters are stored in the data provider and users will not be prompted for credentials. • Per user – Each Windows user is prompted to enter SAP credentials shortly after starting APM. Note: Cache user credentials is only available for per user authentication.
