Analysis title

By default, APM automatically generates the title of an analysis based on the asset type, asset name, and analysis type, for example, “System - Water & Steam System - MTA2”. These are the options for generating analysis titles: • APM automatically provides the title of the analysis (default) • APM sets the title only if it is blank when the asset is assigned to the analysis • The title is always set manually

The analysis asset’s descendants in the selected hierarchy are added to analyses. When this option is selected, it sets the default selection when assets are added to analyses of this type.

Allow the scope of the analysis to be defined by asset

Select this option to allow the analysis scope to be defined on its assets. In some cases, assets are large enough to warrant separate analyses for different sections. For example, when the top portion of a large vessel contains gas and the bottom holds liquid, separate analyses are needed to define and respond to different failure modes and effects. In the Strategy Development Analysis window, the analyst can provide a description of the scope covered by the analysis. The same asset can be added to the analysis as many times as required.

Redrafted

Status applied when an analysis or failure mode of this type is redrafted. Typically, an object is redrafted when an approval request has been rejected or if you wish to make changes before it is approved. Redrafting cancels any approval request and removes it from the approver’s list of active documents to be approved. When the object is revised, it must follow the approval process from the beginning.

If selected, an audit report can be created for the strategy development analysis when the analysis is marked “Closed”. A report format and report type must be selected. The report appears in the Strategy Development Analysis window, in the History view, Analysis Audit Info tab, By Event tab.
