Acknowledgement is when a user tells APM that they have seen the warning or alarm and are taking an appropriate action. Possible methods of acknowledging indicator alarms include: • Creating a work request, or using an existing work request • Creating a work order, or using an existing work order • Indicating that the indicator will be monitored • Stating that the problem was fixed during inspection • Stating that the reading was incorrect • Stating that the alarm settings were incorrect.
