PM triggering and indicator projections
The maintenance policy on using projected indicator values to predict when PM jobs will need to be triggered. APM offers two options:
•
Use indicator projections: If you select this option, APM will project the value of indicators out to the triggering date.
•
Do not use indicator projections. If you select this option, APM will use actual indicator readings to trigger standard jobs.

Add standard jobs that fail when triggered to list of favorites
When errors occur that prevent work orders from being generated from standard jobs during the PM generation process, the standard job is added to the list of favorites. The favorite is assigned to the designated employee.

The designated employee can log on to APM and select the site’s Favorites view to review standard jobs for which errors occurred during PM generation.

Select the appropriate option to base the route asset on just the specified asset or on the asset and its descendants in the physical hierarchy.

Planning lead time
The amount of time between generating the list of indicators to read and the performance of the work.
The start date of the task cycle is offset by the planning lead time. In the example of a monthly task with a planning lead time of five days, the system calculates the collection end date by adding the planning lead time (5 days) and the task’s frequency (30 days) to the current date. All indicators with a next reading due date before this date are included in the list of indicators to read.
