**Resource demand accounting info policy

You can set the rule that determines whether or not complete accounting information (GL account and cost type) is required when a resource demand is created for a work order or asset. The options are: • May be saved, user is not warned: The resource demand can be saved when a GL account cannot be derived or when a cost type is missing. • May be saved, user is warned: The user receives a warning message when trying to save the demand. (Default) • Cannot be saved: A valid cost type and GL account are required in order to save all resource demands.

Rule for charges posted after the close of a financial period

This option allows you to apply a financial period close rule to transactions. If the option is selected, transactions will not be posted automatically to closed financial periods after the specified amount of time. Select this option to allow transactions to be posted automatically to closed financial periods for a limited period of time. Enter the number of days after the close when transactions can be posted. For example, to allow transactions to be posted for up to seven days after the close of the period, enter the number 8. Transactions that are entered after the cut-off time will not be posted unless the date on the transaction is corrected (so that it falls in a current period). Individual transactions can still be posted to closed periods using the Post to Closed Period action on the transaction.

Financial period close date extension

The number of days a financial period can be extended by if the site accounting practices include a financial period close rule. By default, APM enters a 7 day extension, but you can change the length of time if necessary. When a financial period close rule is enabled for this site, transactions entered up to the extension date will be automatically posted in the financial period in which they are dated. Transactions entered after the extension time will not be automatically posted, but may still be posted manually.

The length of time between the closing of the work order and the receipt of an invoice when you can still post the invoice charges to the job. By default, the duration is set to 30 days, but you can change the length if necessary. For example, if you accept late invoice charges for 30 days after the work order has been closed, you can post costs from an invoice you received June 14th to a work order closed on May 15th.
