Material classification or type The strategy can be based on either the material classification or the material type. See Also Material classification If the strategy is based on the material classification, select the classification. See Also Material type If the strategy is based on the material type, select the type. See Also Inspection factor value An inspection factor is the portion of the normal frequency to be used when calculating indicator collection dates. For example, an inspection factor of “0.5” means that the indicator reading should be collected at half its normal frequency (1 year instead of 2 years). The greater the confidence factor, the higher the inspection factor, meaning that the interval between inspections is greater. Note: The maximum value is 1.00. See Also Inspection factor An inspection factor is required for assets with this material classification or type. Enter the factor in the adjacent box. The maximum value is 1.00. See Also Inspection strategy value The inspection strategy describes the action to be taken in response to the failure mode’s criticality and confidence evaluations and its degradation type. An example is “Maintain current inspection / monitoring”. Select the inspection strategy that applies to assets of this material. See Also Inspection strategy An inspection strategy is required for assets with this material classification or type. Select the strategy in the adjacent list. See Also Inspection interval value An inspection interval is the period of time (usually years) between regularly scheduled inspections. Intervals are typically used with failure modes for assets prone to non-age related degradation, where process monitoring is more effective in avoiding degradation. See Also Inspection interval An inspection interval is required for assets with this material classification or type. Select the interval in the adjacent box. See Also
