Triggering mechanism for this indicator

The event that causes the indicator to be recalculated: • On a regular interval based on a recurrence pattern: The indicator is calculated on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, as defined in the recurrence pattern. • Whenever a new reading is entered for one of its inputs: If the calculation uses indicator readings in calculation inputs, then whenever a new indicator reading is entered, the system recalculates the indicator. However, if there is more than one reading-based input in the calculation, the Required proximity of inputs setting can affect whether or not the recalculation occurs. • Whenever a reading is entered for input: If the calculation uses indicator readings, the system recalculates the indicator only when a new reading is entered for the specified input. The Required proximity of inputs setting can affect whether or not the recalculation occurs. • Manually: The indicator is recalculated when a user selects the Re-calculate Now method on the indicator.

Calendar period to show on graphs of indicator readings

This label applies to indicators with a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly recurrence pattern. For the Hourly period type, the current date and time is always used. This setting allows you to specify whether the indicator reading should be assigned the current calendar period or the calendar period that just ended. This allows you to label the reading as belonging to the previous period even when it can only be calculated after the period has ended. For example, if your performance indicator calculates the total cost of work orders completed in July, you might want to calculate this value after July is over (in August). However, the value needs to be labeled as being from the July calendar period. Select one of the following options: • Current calendar period • Calendar period that just ended

Auditing level for the indicator’s readings

Auditing levels are: • Full auditing – Full information is displayed on the reading’s Calculation tab • Description and input values – The reading’s Calculation tab displays the description and input values in the text field. The table of input values is not displayed • No auditing – The reading’s Calculation tab is not displayed
