Time-based service

Select this option if the service will be purchased based on a time unit of measure (such as hours or days). If the service is a catalog resource, the system sets this option based on the unit of measure set on the resource.

The total number of items that are required. For example, the number of employees or contractors required for the trade or the number of tools. This setting is only applicable to trades, tools, and time-based service resources.

Required for

The amount of time that each employee, contractor, tool, or service person is required. For example if you are entering a trade requirement, enter how long each employee will need to work on this task. The total time entered for the requirement will be calculated as: Number Of x Required For The default requirement is 1.00 hour. This setting is only applicable to trades, tools, and time-based service resources. Note: For scheduling purposes, one day = 24 hours, regardless of the number and type of shifts included on the schedule.

Comments for the planned requirement or replenishment demand. You can enter comments for a requirement on a work order task, standard task, or task template. You can enter comments for a requisition demand on the line for the demand. If the demand was created for a warehouse item replenishment, the replenishment message is displayed here.

Relationship type

The relationship of the lag to the start of the task. You can select from: • Start to start (SS): The requirement starts when the task is planned to start, offset by any entered lag time. • Finish to finish (FF): The requirement ends when the task is planned to end. The system automatically calculates the required lag time.

Lag

The lag time that is required between this requirement and the planned start time of the task. For example, if you enter a trade requirement with a lag time of two hours, the planned start time for the trade will be two hours after the planned start time for the task. This setting is used when calculating the estimated duration of the task, and when the task is scheduled.

Override cost type

Select this option to override the resource’s cost type. This option will only be available if account overrides are allowed for the work type on this task. After you select this option, you can select the appropriate cost type from the list.

Cost Type

The cost type to be charged for this resource. If your settings enable you to override the default cost types, you can use this field to indicate the actual cost type you want to charge for this resource on work order tasks created from this standard task.

Override maintenance account

Select this option to override the derived maintenance account. This option will only be available if account overrides are allowed for the work type on this task. After you select this option, you can select the appropriate GL account by clicking Browse.

You can specify the approval route to use for work order requirements created from this standard task requirement. To do this, select the option Use the approval route entered below, and then select the appropriate route. If you select the option The approval route will be identified when the work order is sent for approval, users will be able to choose from a list of appropriate route.
