The description of the expected frequency. Frequency names can be up to 50 characters long. The expected frequency on a standard task tells the people who plan and schedule the work how often the task should be performed.

Select length of time this expected frequency represents. For example, if the expected frequency is called “one month”, you would select 1.00 month.

When this option is selected, you can change the numeric equivalent value according to the context. For example, an “as needed” frequency could require an estimate of how often equipment needs to be replaced or restored.

Maintenance plan type

The SAP maintenance plan type that corresponds to this expected frequency: • Single-cycle plan - The duration of the expected frequency is mapped to the Cycle value in the SAP single-cycle plan. The unit of measure for the cycle is taken from the Units box or from the frequency’s duration if units are not specified. • Multiple-counter plan - The target maintenance plan is created without cycles. You must add them in SAP. • Strategy - The value you enter in the Maintenance strategy box must match the value in SAP exactly.
